My client Vianet Group PLC are recruiting for a Business Development Director. My client was established 26 years and are a leading IOT (Internet of things) business that deliver actionable insight & contactless payment solutions to clients in the hospitality, vending & self-service sectors.

Purpose of the Role:

To drive the direction, development, and growth within ‘New Markets’, as well as managing the Smart Machines sales team across differing sectors of UK Vending, Brands and Machine Manufacturers.

Leadership and direction of the Sales Team
Maintenance of existing revenue and profit streams in targeted growth customers
Increased business awareness of customer needs and trends
Growth of current revenue streams and profit contribution
Customer retention and growth through great customer service
Improve market share, profit contribution and growth
Focussed Sales and Marketing activities, and product and service development

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Provide leadership to customer facing teams in the business
Support the growth within the UK Vending, Brands and Machine Manufacturers side of the business
Implement a variety of new business initiatives to drive sales
Track sales data and work to meet quotas or sales team goals
Present regular performance reports for Commercial Director
Maintain excellent relationships with clients through superior customer service
Implement and adhere to company policies and procedures
Manage and drive the performance of the Commercial Sales Team

Key Tasks:

Develop opportunities to grow additional revenue streams in the Smart Machines division, through partnerships or new initiatives, and work to take advantage of those opportunities
Maintain and update account plans and or win plan to drive strategic actions
Building strength of personal network
Maintain an active and regular customer engagement strategy with senior decision-makers in target growth customers, both formally and informally
Drive actions and performance of internal key stakeholders through consistent and clear communications
Lead generation with a focus on new business through various mediums to gain new client engagement
Accurately forecast sales predictions and present to the Commercial Director

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

Previous experience in a Sales Management background, preferably within the UK Vending or contactless payment industry
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
Strong organisation skills and the ability to multitask
Good management and delegation
Strong demonstrable leadership and management skills
Positive attitude with ability to create robust contracts for customers
Strong commercial focus
