Business Development Manager

In this role the successful candidate would need to be driven & motivated to develop new sales and spot business opportunities. Ironmongery knowledge would be an added advantage although it is not essential & training can be provided. Some management experience in addition to sales is also desirable as the role involves working with various individuals within the organisation & therefore involves managing people up, down and across the business. Someone who has experience of managing people at all levels & is effective at putting their point across in a productive manner would be ideal for the position.
Responsibilities will include;
Customer Account Management
Primary contact for designated customer accounts across the business in relation to expanding ironmongery sales, ensuring they receive excellent service at all times, whilst continuously expanding on our customer offer
Provide improved business solutions that drive delivery of continuous improvement from the business to the customer across designated accounts, through collaboratively working to deliver business tools and processes to support enhanced sales performance
Contribute to the delivery of the sales strategy
Work collaboratively across the business to support the delivery of the sales strategy, through delivering an exceptional customer experience to improve our market position, in particular, to establish our ironmongery offering as a significant sales opportunity
