A busy manufacturer in the Thetford area is looking to recruit for an electrical biased maintenance engineer to join their friendly, family feel existing team.

The Maintenance Engineer will be working a 3 tier shift pattern, Monday – Friday to maintain a selection of production machinery maximising manufacturing output and efficiency.

The Maintenance Engineer Role:

– The maintenance engineer will Proactively address machinery breakdowns and improvement opportunities within the production plant both electrical and mechanical.
– The electrical maintenance engineer will need Electrical and mechanical fundamental engineering skills to ensure that they are able to identify and rectify machinery failures.
– You will confidently fault finding on PLC systems, using them as a diagnostic tool (not programming).
– The electrical maintenance engineer will also be responsible for mechanical aspects of maintenance during the shift including Hydraulics and refrigeration systems.
– As a Maintenance Engineer on a manufacturing site you will work to complete Preventative work on plant machinery including: vacuum pumps and variable speed drives / rollers / Pneumatics / Hydraulics.

The Successful Maintenance Engineer Candidate:

– The ideal candidate will be electrically bias with Mechanical experience and knowledge.
– The successful maintenance engineering candidate will be apprentice trained or qualified to NVQ Level 3 or above.
You will have experience of fault finding on PLC systems within a manufacturing / production environment.
The ideal candidate will be dynamic and flexible.

Salary – £37,500 per Year (increasing with experience and training)

Shift – 3 tier shift pattern Monday – Friday 6am- 2pm, 2pm -10pm, 10pm – 6am
