As the Venue and Special Events Manager your role will be split across sales and event operations, working on a range of high profile events. As part of your role you will deliver a strategy that manages the sales process for all reactive and proactive leads for the venue and achieve budgeted revenue.
Providing account management for clients and working closely with the operations teams to ensure all customer journeys are aligned
Key duties include:
Working on events for up to 5,000pax
Managing incoming phone and email enquiries
Holding in-depth knowledge of the venue, its capacities and capabilities
Maintaining and developing client and stakeholder relationships
Overseeing the operations required for the event
Conducting venue show arounds
Managing event P&L
Liaising with contractors and suppliers
On-site management during build-up and live event
Working with the Venue Sales Exec to proactively gain sales leads
Manage team members to develop their skills
Applicants will require an understanding of the events industry from both a corporate and private hire perspective and be able to deliver exceptional levels of customer services.
This is a truly exciting role where you will work closely with the venue and the Shows teams to identify and innovate with new ideas. You will hold responsibility for managing existing clients and identifying new opportunities.
We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced professional. You will have strong commercial, creative and account management skills and enjoy working within a fast paced team. To be successful, you will need to have a proactive attitude and be a great communicator.
